Merchandiser Job Duties and Responsibility.

• To handle different buyer’s orders independently.
• To make costing, TNA, sourcing of Trims & accessories, fabrics
• To maintain liaison with buyers and PP & QA department
• Candidates will have to communicate with buyers, work out price, arrange sample, negotiate prices, finalize orders, book fab/trims, ensure timely production & shipment
• We are looking for Senior Merchandisers who have a minimum of 5 years experience in the same position working with reputable companies.
• Product development & drive execution by the managing and interacting with cross functional team.
• Overall responsibilities to look at designated accounts assigned by the management and provide updates.
• Development of new accounts
• Negotiating order prices
• To make effective negotiating of costing with the buyer/buying office(s) to take the order thereby excel product & account wise revenue & profit.
• Preparation of production and marketing plans.
• Co-ordinate with production team in order to deliver on time shipment.
• Fixation of production rates.
• Follow up with planning/production/commercial team & ensure shipment move on time.
• Follow up with commercial on correct shipping documents, shipment advice and payment.
• Liaison with commercial team about documents undertakes all formalities (sending shipping sample etc) and updates buyer.
• Candidate should be able to communicate with buyers by E-mail and verbally in English language.
• Able to work in fast-paced and high-volume business.
• Maintains all relevant merchandising communication, order files, reports etc. required for processing orders efficiently.
• Minimum 5/6 years experience on Knit/Woven garments merchandising in a reputed organization and also experience stock garments
• Must have the capability to independently look after all customer/Buyer/Supplier
• Should have sound knowledge of costing, products, fabrics, Fashionable Wash, accessories, trims, fashion trends etc
• Technically sound on Fabric Quality, Consumption & Pricing.
• Good knowledge about products, Stock and also have good factory sourcing and stock sourcing capability,
• Proper execution of sampling/QC according to planned “Time and Action Plan” on regular basis to ensure on time submission with right quality and quantity.
• Supervise the merchandising team/QC team/Sample Section in order to perform the day to day function and accomplish the required objectives.
• Possess high degree of correspondence skills & analytical ability.
• Should be able to work on own initiative under pressure.
• Should be able to anticipate and provide solutions to the problems.
• Should be able to speak and write English fluently.
• Willing to travel to the factory frequently.
• The main responsibility will be processing orders independently handle.
• Interacting with the buyers directly for any clarifications & getting all required approvals within the target dates.
• Implementing new concepts & techniques to ensure high efficiency & smooth process flow & well In time approvals.
• Constantly guiding the teams keeping in mind the bulk production & the challenges during the bulk production – at the same time ensuring high quality, high efficiency & high productivity.
• Able to handle several numbers of orders/styles at a time independently.
• Proper execution of orders according to planned “Time and Action Plan” on regular basis to ensure on time shipment with right quality and quantity.
• Determine appropriate price quotations so that the company can ensure sales orders and maintain profitability.
